Julian recieved 2 career guidance sessions which  involved both practical advice on interview presentation and preparation as well as NLP and Emotional Intelligence techniques and observations. He sent the following testimonial- " I was interested in learning your strategies for minimising issues, the overall discussion about taking control through ones' thoughts and actions and prioritising decisions was very worthwhile. Tony  came to see me with a number of issues regarding career, finances and  relationships. We concentrated on the beliefs he had about himself as a person and how they stopped him from moving forward. He was very much stuck in the moment and needed something to help him realise that life could be really good. We worked with some powerful NLP based techniques and afterwards he emailed me to say  "  I finally had that conversation with myself- it took a long time but there is no way I could have come to the position that I have, without your help. I am coming through this a much stronger person"


Simon
came to see me because he was feeling down and very despondent about several aspects of his life.
He had lots of self doubt, negative self talk and overall did not feel as though he lived up to the expectations of those around him. He was quick to get irritable about the smallest thing and he desperately needed to feel more confident about himself and his abilities.
We worked with relaxation techniques, visualisation methods to increase self belief and tips to increase confidence and motivation as well as looking at methods to remain calmer. Simon emailed me to say: “These sessions have opened my eyes and have stopped me feeling sorry about my actions and those of others, in one word they have made me “stronger” The methods you taught me have helped me to focus and stay calm, become less irate. I say to myself “It doesn’t matter” and I switch my focus elsewhere. I am able to feel much more relaxed which really helps in all aspects.”

Dean runs an independent Recruitment Consultancy and he felt he was working IN the business as opposed to ON the business and he wanted to address that as well as looking at putting together processes for new staff.

 Tracey had feelings of uncertainty at work and was felling demotivated  but not inclined to do anything about the situation. We talked through the  lack of energy and focus was stemming from.
Tracey sent me this shortly after – “I suddenly realised that no one makes you feel the way you feel, its all down to you. It sounds simple but its easy to go through life blaming other people. You helped me see this. Also, the menial tasks that I have to do you do every day can become more enjoyable I think about them differently. Mark was playing safe and felt really hesitant to take up the offer of a new job because it meant he would have to “prove himself” and he may not be as good as everyone thinks he is. There were elements of laziness as well as being stuck in a rut.
We worked together on a couple of sessions and he emailed a little while later  to say…” I was in turmoil as to what the next step should be in my career and if you remember I had the dilemma of whether to accept the new job. Well, I did, mainly due to the mind coaching techniques we worked with. I am really happy that I did. I now know why they offered me the job, its because I am good at what I do and I really enjoy it. Stuart holds a very responsible position and puts himself under a lot of pressure at work. He has, for the past 2 years been working late in order to produce more work, which he thinks will impress his boss and stand him in good stead for promotion. I asked him the simple question “Does your boss tell you he is impressed?” The answer was no and in fact he admitted that the quality of his work was not as good as it could be. 
 We had several sessions together and afterwards he emailed me the following –
“Since I have been coming to see you I have definitely become more relaxed, particularly job wise. My colleagues have commented on it. I have adopted a mantra like you suggested, so when I make a mistake I just say “Its okay, it’s not life threatening” this helps me to keep some sort of reality check on things. I do think much more about what I am doing with my life, and I never did that before.

Amanda
runs her own business and had some serious issues surrounding prioritisation and also her work life balance. Having a young daughter it was important to break the cycle of mixing her business with the time she was spending being a Mum.
She sent me the following –
“I found our session really useful. Although I have not always been able to implement everything we discussed I am far stricter with myself about NOT letting myself work in the evenings and weekends and NOT letting myself check email when I should be getting my daughter ready for school! The overlap between work and home was my major concern and I find myself less worried now about tasks not being done at the end of the working day.”


Elaine
is a HR Professional and runs her own business. She wanted to increase her confidence particularly around a male dominated situation, which could for example be a business meeting. She also felt inferior when she was in the company of established business people who she felt had been there and done it.
Following a long session, Elaine emailed me to say I realise that my lack of confidence is down to the changes that have taken place in my life over the last 12 to 18 months. I guess I am out of my comfort zone. It is a very useful technique that we looked at where you think about a major achievement in your life and how it made you feel, visualise it and so it can be recalled and the good feelings used again and again.
