 The first 3 months of any new job can be the most difficult. It is helped significantly if  the quality of the initial induction  has been carried out properly and delivers everything that it promised to deliver.
We have taken the basic core skills and  developed them into a fascinating 3 day workshop that invites and encourages  open dialogue
and group activities. 
 

 DAY ONE –  Successful Recruitment -it's all about attitude!  

Understand the concept and importance of Emotional Intelligence in the workplace 

Manage your emotions by understanding what you are feeling and why. Consider how you connect with others, these are your immedaite colleagues, candidates, clients. Control your moods by conciously being aware and actively doing something to change your emotional state.Manage your thinking by not letting that small voice in your head dominate your days activities. Overcome obstacles and see them for what they are.Learn new ways to remain focused and motivated to do even the most mundane tasks!  

Attitudes and Image - what message does yours send out?

 Looks at how you communicate with others. Do you find yourself making assumptions about people you don't know? Does this reflect on how you treat them? Do you find yourself talking down to some people ,whilst feeling somewhat inferior to others? What is your body language saying that your words are not? Does your image detract from what you are trying to achieve?  Are you aware of the messages you send out or are you simply trying to protect yourself from those around you?

An introduction and brief exploration of NLP in the business world and it's impact on our communication

Look at the world you have created for yourself and the beliefs you carry around with you. Recognise how they impact your life and your working day. Look at setting targets and longer term goals,visualise the outcome you want and move nearer to it becoming reality.Consider ways to become more focused and determined in everything you do.

 Successful planning- set the agenda for maximising the outcome of everything from meetings to daily tasks
A proactive approach to getting yourself organised for any meeting, be it a candidate registration, a client meeting, a team meeting or a one on one with your Manager. Look at the structure and consider your desired  outcomes. What do you need to do in order to get those outcomes?  Planning for every possibility. What do you need to know, need to take, need to have?  What about your mental state? We look at ways to get you thinking about what you do from every angle.  

Confidence in the Workplace
Looking at the whole area of Communication, including, dealing  with  conflict, how to stay calm and make the maximum impact. Getting your point of view across effectively. Not taking things personally. Understanding feedback and constructive criticism. Setting your own goals. Effective questioning techniques.
Understanding where hesitation and doubt come from and how to overcome them. Can you really become more confident…..Yes, Yes and Yes.

DAY TWO -  Intelligent Recruitment

 Candidates and Communication What is the purpose of Candidate Registration. Whose agenda are we playing to? How can the candidate help us to maximise local market knowledge? Do we really hear what our candidates are saying? What key skills can we use in order to sell them into our clients. How capable are our candidates at holding an effective interview, how can we help, are we capable of helping? and much more.....

Clients and Communication - We look at how to tell the world you are here! How to build a database from scratch. What's the best reason to contact a client? What do you say to a client? What has to happen before we can call them a client? What do they want to hear? Keeping control of the relationship. Effective communication. Face to face meetings. Gathering information. 

Vacancies How to get them. What's the difference between a good vacancy and a waste of time vacancy? Understanding the contents. Getting maximum information. Successfully matching candidates to vacancies. Managing the process. Interviews, the aftermath and much more......

Business Development -  Understanding that without it there is no business. How to successfully develop your future revenue, candidate and client flow. Creatively marketing candidates, reasons to contact clients, maximising your candidates. Performance level indicators. Accountability and ownership.

Sprinkled with real life anecdotes taken from years of experience, this workshop is highly informative and good fun.

DAY THREE -  Recruiting like an Expert

How to apply Emotional Intelligence to Recruitment. A review of attendees understanding of EI and how it can impact the relationship they have with their Colleagues,  Candidates and Clients. How it all links in with attitude and communication. Accepting responsibility and ownership for their actions and not falling into the victim cycle. How to remove yourself from the negative impact of people with low EI.

Planning and Goal Setting
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Never more important than in the busy and unpredictable world of Recruitment. This topic covers how to achieve everything and more. Prioritising your “to do” list. Finding the courage to “make that call” Setting targets and believing in them. Visualising your outcome, used by  great sports people and inventors, imagine the outcome and the reality will be something similar. 

Positive Presentation
How to maximise the messages you send out, leave the best impression on people, taking complete responsibility for the actions you have chosen to take.
What about you? Looking after every aspect of you so that you can look after every aspect of your life. Looking and sounding positive in one on one situations and group presentations. How to walk your talk.

The last part of the day will bring everything together and look at how the different techniques can be used to maximise every opportunity and improve relationships in the workplace. There will also be an opportunity for questions and answers and reviews of all the topics covered.
